4CHANGE team members participated in multiplier event

4CHANGE project team  members Gintaras Rimsa and Edvinas Dubinskas participated in the multiplier event “Vocational Education and Training in the Working World 4.0” (VET 4.0), which was held in Cologne, on the 5 of October, 2018.

The basis of the project VET 4.0 is to face the recent development in Working World 4.0 properly. The future development is rather unpredictable and teachers, trainers, workers and VET students are challenged to learn and to acquire new competences for a new world of work. The competences required should be developed with different points of view in an international consortium in close cooperation with different companies. In this project experienced partners in cooperation with companies have raised awareness of the dimension of change and exemplarily developed concrete modules with regard to the requirements of a changing working world.

The project developed 3 main outputs:

  • Profile of competences required for Working World 4.0;
  • Training modules for VET students which prepare for the challenges of the future working world, focusing on the sectors mechatronics and electronics.
  • Training modules for VET teachers and in-company trainers which make aware of the challenges of Working World 4.0 and prepare for future-oriented teaching and training.

The VET 4.0 project consortium consists of experienced partners from different European regions with different VET systems, experience, focuses and institutional background. Four European VET colleges (I.E.S. Campanillas, ES; KSAO; FI; Forvaltiningen for Gymnasie & Vuxenutbildning Kungsbacka, SE; ROC Leeuwenborgh, NL) and four German VET colleges combined with two Italian VET providers with international experience that ensured the quality of the training modules.
